Match It! First Words teaches first words in an interactive way. Each card has two pieces—a picture of an object and the spelling of that object’s name. By simply matching the pieces together, children will learn to recognize the spelling of simple words. The puzzle pairs are self-correcting—only correct object and name combinations will fit together. Recommended for ages 3+ years.
My toddler with a speech delay loves this set so much and they have also helped improve her speech and learning... I will recommend
We love all of our products from The Learning Journey! This particular set has actual pictures, instead of illustrations, which is helpful for a learning toddler! It also serves as a good introduction on how puzzles go together. This set gives my little guy hours of educational entertainment.
Very good puzzle with matching words to make them undertsand whats coming by looking at the object
I’m a great fan of these puzzles. My son loves them. Easy to put together, colorful, great quality. Great learning with lots of fun
Great for my grandkids!
I like this a lot and my four year old does well with this puzzle. I’d buy it again for sure.
Great learning game but I agree with other reviewers....wish it had the pictures shown.
It s fun my son who is 5 is learning how to read and this makes it fun for him
Very nice set! Great for learning letters and words. A bit advanced for my almost 3 yo. But she can do it if I'm supervising her and helping her. I do lose her after a while... So maybe she needs to be a bit older for this.
Perfect study for my toddler to remember these sight words. Thanks.
My 3 years old grand child laid out all the cards and tried to put everything in alphabetical order , he was so happy and eager until he started missing out some of the letters.. all of a sudden we were faced with the biggest tantrum ever :) He kept crying saying where is the letter V where is the letter Z and so on! Great ideas if the company learns from the kids and include all the letters. We tried again and he wants nothing to do with it :).
My 4 year old enjoys doing these little puzzles and they are helping her learn simple words. Durable, good quality.
This is a great learning tool. The first step to reading is memorizing and this is perfect. Pieces are thick and durable looking. I got this as a gift for the 4 year old that has everything.
I'm pleased with the quality of this product.
I bought this for my 3 year old granddaughter. She learned how to spell all the words and match the pictures .
These are great! I just wish I had more!
My four year old loves doing this activity together. Makes it fun to learning spelling and sight words
good
. I can keep my son's interest on this puzzle for 5-10 minutes at a time. He is only 2 1/2, and we are able to work on staying focused while learning and having fun together.
We bought these for our 4.5 yr old grandaughter and she loves them. She asks to "play the reading game" all the time. It was a little big challenging at first, but has taught er alot. The pictures and words are clear and just what is needed.
Very fun. My 3 year old loves them!
My 4year old grandson loves these sets. He will spend hours doing these.
Exactly as I expected
THREE YEAR OLD GRANDSON DID SO WELL. GREAT EDUCATIONAL TOOL. CHILD WOULD DO WELL TO HAVE ASSIST OF ADULT TO HELP SOUND OUT THE BEGINNING LETTER. CUTE CARRYING BOX.
Is this a joke? Bought brand new and the box comes smashed up? I’m sure the kids will love their broken box
When I opened the box the cards looked like they were just thrown in. There were a few that were damaged. My lil one still played with the ones that were not damaged and had a great time.
THIS WAS A GIFT FOR A CHILD AT XMAS WHO LISTED MANY ITEMS SHE WANTED. I AM SURE SHE WAS HAPPY TO GET THIS THE CARDS LOOKED GREAT, AND I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE PACKAGING TOO.
Lots of fun and great for learning!
My grandson loves this

Didnt have all the cards in the box.
Think this will make learning fun for my 4 year old grandaughter
very useful for toddlers
Great game for my Kindergartner!
Quite a challenge for a 3 year old. The concept is fun and my 3 year old feels a great sense of accomplishment every time he makes a match.
These are awesome, my four year old is very happy with them. The pictures are very clear and the prices themselves are very solid. Can't wait to purchase another set.
Grandson love them
Great Product! We ordered it on the 2nd and it arrived on the 4th. We bought this for my 6 year old daughter (who is learning how to read) and cannot wait to give it to her. Nice Sturdy pieces that fit well together for a good price. I would recommend this product to anyone with a child that is learning to read, it's worth the cost and excellent quality.
Got this when my son just turned 3, still plays with it 6 months later. Got one recently for my nephew with Asbergers who is 4 and he loves it too. Have ordered a few of the other sets and hope those are also hits
Great quality. My daughter is 16 months and will definitely use this as the months go on.
we loved playing this with the 3 year old...she learns quickly
Very sturdy puzzle pieces. My 6 year old has been playing with them for about a year and are still one of her favorite things to play with! Worth every penny.
Great price.
This was a replacement set for another box that we lost some blocks from - this is a great educational and fun toy.
Great product!
Great.
Nice for flash cards
My daughter just started playing. It's easy to match and she likes it. I think she will learn these sight word quickly.
Great for young kids before starting preschool.
My daughter is enjoying this game. Its a little too young for her but she plays along with me and will say the names of the things and I will match them up for her.
grandsons enjoyed them!
neat
I am very impressed with these. They are high quality and durable (think classroom quality) They are a Christmas present, but my 2 year old saw them in the shipping box and grabbed them before I noticed. She couldn't wait to play with them.
Our Grandkids love these learning "games", so, so do we!
Excelente
I bought this for my grandson and I to do together. He is five and we have had great fun.
My daughter was first introduced to this puzzle in speech therapy. I purchased this to use at home and it is a fun way for her to play with puzzle pieces and use her words for the pictures. Educational and fun!
Gave this to my daughter for Christmas. She is only a year old so she doesn't know how to read but enjoys us showing her how to put them together and explaining what the different objects are. I like how You could put all the pictures on one side and words on another and give them one piece and have them grab the match to see if they click. It's a more expensive than flash cards but more hands on so I prefer this.
This is a great product, and the colors and pictures are bright. My son loves this puzzle, its definitely a good way to teach children their first words!
Just what you need if you are looking for a sturdy self-correcting puzzle for a child who is learning their first words.
What a wonderful puzzle work. The students I work with have really enjoyed this "fun" brain break. Great for my 3 year olds.
The product was exactly what was shown. The package arrived a day early packed with care making the purchase worth it!
My 16 month old son loves these and can already match all of the words to the items. It's the first toy he goes to when he comes home from daycare. I have a couple of the others including time and counting. He's a little young for those but I look forward to using them in the future.
I am an early childhood teacher that currently stays at home with my children. This set is a great toy and teaching resource for young children learning to sound out words or learn new sight words. For starting out, help the child sound out the word and let him/her find the marching picture and put them together. Then, as the child progresses you can let them work by themselvs. The self-correcting puzzle pieces make independent work successful. Make sure to remind the child that just trying to match the pieces without knowing the word isn't going to cut it. :) Also, the quality of materials make this toy very durable. I would recommend this toy to any beginning reader.
