Learning about the United States of America is easy and fun with the Lift & Learn USA Map puzzle. With 40 pieces, little ones can research each state, its capital and various historical sites, monuments, natural wonders, and other famous attractions. Each puzzle piece is raised for easy grasping, and the state shaped pieces lift to reveal the name and proximity of its capital. All the pieces fit neatly in a wood grain-like tray for puzzle solving fun and tidy storage! Measures 15” long x .4” wide x 11” high. Ages 3+ years.
The quality and vibrant colors are everything. My 5 year old is into learning shapes and is very hands on. So, this puzzle is perfect for teaching shapes as well as other things the states are known for.
This puzzle help kids to learn about cities, capitals and attractions for the country.
This educational puzzle map of the USA is a good option for kids to know the capital cities, monuments, and famous historic places. My 6 yr old loves solving puzzles. He learnt new things with this puzzle.
I love this! My 4 year old has been trying to learn about the states so I got this puzzle for her! This puzzle has helped teach her so much!
Great representation of the states for my 5 year old. The visuals are clear and fun. It’s also great that the is information of the capital under the pieces. Lastly, the pieces are very sturdy.
My grandson loves this and the card board is very sturdy
We bought this for our three-year-old, so we can start teaching her about the map. So fun!
high quality
This is a great product, only thing I would like to point out is, it has few states merged into one big piece. Like North Carolina/South Carolina, Virginia/West Virginia and similarly lot of states in East cost into one. I understand these states are too small to have individual pieces. You can understand that, but kids don't :)
My son got 100% on his states quiz with this puzzle. I wish the New England (very small states) area was an enlarged “breakout area” but it still did the trick! Pieces are sturdy and the colors are bright.
With so little civic education and even geography, this is a great learning tool for children to understand the layout if the United States, the Capitals of each state, and a symbol which represents what the state is known for. Ex. An ear of corn for Iowa. Kids are learning as they play. On a road trip, you could point out which state you are in and talk about the shape of the state, where the Capital is, and maybe talk a little about the historical places in the State.I love it and have bought them for the children at our Community Shelter.
Nice product
Learning Christmas gift for 5 year old granddaughter/ wood puzzle--well made--
This one is absolutely awesome. But, wish it is magnetic. My 3 year old plays with it and when he lifts it, the pieces fall of. there are several of them out there that are magnetic. but, i am not sure if they can get to the same quality as this.
First, Thank you for the Fast delivery on this Puzzle. It was a gift for my 97 year old grandmother. She loved it and watching her put it together (via FaceTime) was wonderful.
Perfect
Really great quality puzzle! Both of my children LOVE this. My 8 year old and my 4 year old play with this all the time, such a great buy.
my kids liked it a lot
Love. My daughter has been learning her states
Great puzzle but a little inaccurate but overall great puzzle
This is a good set of educational puzzles. My little one keep playing with it on and on. I just wish it was magnetic. Not easy to keep all the pieces
My 7 year old has struggled with the concept of states within a country for years now! She was convinced that I was born in a different country because I am originally from Colorado. I’ve tried showing her online what the difference is, I’ve explained it countless times, and until she had this puzzle map, she was not grasping the concept. By being able to hold the pieces in her hands and put it together, she has finally figured out what it means to have 50 States in 1 country! If this is a struggle you are familiar with, I highly recommend this puzzle of the USA!
It’s definitely helped my kids learn their states and capitals. They had a little trouble getting them into the right places to all fit together though.
Brilliant teaching tool
Corner is sharp for some puzzle pieces. But overall a good toy.
The map is much thinner than expected. The states don't fall into place. Almost like laying them on a piece of flat paper.
I gifted this to my daughter on her 3 ed birthday. This is fun to use and educational. She is now becoming a pro in identifying the states of America. And I love it that I can further keep it with me to get her know the state capitals
My nephews love this product! It’s a great size and great quality for the price. Over all an awesome product!
This map is so colorful which makes it more appealing to the kids. Easy to match the pictures under. Great for fine motor skills and learning the states.
My almost 3 year loves puzzles and we are always looking for something new to teach him. Although he's still a little young to understand the concept of different states, we were able to work on his language development using the wonderful pictures on each piece. PLUS the pieces are super durable and will probably last until he is older and learning about the different states.
This is now my four year old’s favorite puzzle. He has had a few similar ones, but never one so durable. We usually end up throwing most of them out. Luckily, this one seems like it will last a long time. Very impressed!!! By the way, he is now quickly learning state capitals as well. Bonus!!!
I really like this puzzle, but the pieces are a bit thinner than I expected and my son broke a couple states within a week of playing with it.
Buena compra. Vendedor serio.
Bought this for my (almost 4 year old) granddaughter. She loves it. She can fit the sturdy pieces in and the color coding helps her identify where the pieces go. The pieces are a good thickness, not too thin and not like the thick beginner puzzles, a great transition puzzle.
My 5 & 7 year old brother are in love with this map. They have been looking up each state on google!
Got this one on sale and was impress with the quality it comes in. I also like that it has pictures underneath it. The pieces fits well together and it was made with decent material. The only thing is that some of the smaller states were combined onto one piece, so you get less pieces and the shape is not exactly As-Is. I guess that's easier for the younger kids to pick pieces up, I'm just sad that my kid wasn't quite ready for it, and decided to hide Ohio and Idaho somewhere....hopefully I'd get to reunite them to the rest of the continent soon.
I really liked this puzzle but it was for a gift and two of its corners came damaged , so disappointed :(
This puzzle has a lot of uses for a child. Not only it helps my daughters problem solving skills but it’s also a useful map. I like how it has pictures and color coordinated for each shapes. It also has the state capitals.
So we've had this since 2015 - didn't really use it till 2018, and then consistently through until now. Recently, our son is very interested in learning the States and countries of the world as I've put up 24X36 wall maps, which prompted him to want to do this puzzle again. We've misplaced a couple pieces on more than one occasion! but somehow we've always managed to find it....except Oklahoma lol. This also prompted me to look around for world map puzzles similar to this - wish this same brand made world maps too (individual continents would work just fine - leave me a comment if anyone has found any good ones!!).Pros (no cons from us! but I'll list out some small things that we've come across):- wooden-like based frame- puzzle pieces are layered cardboard material (Yes! i think of this as a pro as I do not think all toys need to be wooden to be considered good quality and durable) - in this case, I like that it is thick enough to hold up to frequent usage and not heavy or sharp to irritate little hands.- Price is great for what you get. ($11-$12 here but you can find better deals at Michaels - just bought 2 more there!)- not jigsaw type of puzzle, pieces represent the actual shape of the states (with arguably some differences to what some really look like e.g. Hawaii, but let that go....it's a beginner puzzle).- Once you pour the puzzle pieces off, it's basically an opened-ended space to put the pieces WITH outlines of the states. So yes, this would be too easy for a child who wants more of a challenge. and to this point, the pieces are held together by neighboring pieces. A smaller child might need some help with keeping the pieces together, after a couple times they do fine and I find it fun to do it with them. (for reference, my son started playing this when he was 3.5, now he's 5, daughter is 7 - both like this puzzle a lot).- Capital cities are shown with the outlines. For those who were upset about the New Mexico piece - the new version is now a picture of hot air balloons.
My 2 year old is already learning the stated and I love it!
Great way to spark interest in geography in young kids. Brightly colored and good sized puzzle pieces - so no worry of swallowing and choking (but still good to keep an eye!)
Really good for helping kids learn states and capitals. The colors help a lot. My daughter is 3 and knew all placements
Puzzle is fun and easy for my 3 year old to put together.
Fun puzzle for kids to learn states
Pieces were a little thinner than I expected but still durable. My 4 year old really isn't into puzzles but he loved this one! He likes pointing out where we live and where he was born lol. I feel like itll be good even as he gets older because it has the state capitals underneath the pieces
Sturdy, good gift, good for learning.
I bought this my my grandchildren to learn all about the United States, during the Pandemic Quarantine. Learning can be so fun! Especially when you are learning without all the stress. This map puzzle is well made, easy to read, and full of Information.
Good puzzle but better if it would be wooden not with tick paper. My baby crushed some of them in the few minutes.
My grandkids will surely benefit from this puzzle
Kids loved the puzzle and it is not so large or so many pieces to be a bother.
This is so cute and my daughter likes it. It's educational and fun. I love puzzles like these for kids.
Nice but!
Learn your states, capitals, and locations while having fun. Colorful and enjoyable! I am not great at geography, which is why I purchased this puzzle for myself; added bonus - the grands love it too!
This wont last long with my 2 year old. Definitly for older children
complaint. I wish maps would have EACH state had their own piece. Trying to learn capitals and states makes it a little more difficult when there's more than 1 on a piece. Other than that it was a great help with helping our grandson learn his capitals and their states.
For my 4 yr Christmas present to learn the states
Fir my kids
Very happy with the quality.
Bought for my grandson who loves this puzzle
I bought it for my 2 years old. She knows most of the states and locations, but I didn't have a mobile map. This one was too small for her hands and to crowded. I don't recommend it for small hands, but other than that, it's a good product.
Great product! Bought it for gifts and kids love them. Also, delivery was AMAZING, so quick, not even 24h and I do not have Prime.
Our 4 year old nephew loved this. Easy to hold pieces.
My children loved this and it’s a fun way to learn
Currently using this product to teach my 5yo daughter the states and their capitals. Great product. Highly recommend!!
This USA puzzle is perfect! I love the different images it has for the states because it makes my son more interested in memorizing the states and capitols. I highly recommend this!
My kids love this puzzle . I love it too because it's made from a sturdy cardboard so I know it'll last a while.
Looks nice..informative..some pieces are a bit small n flimsy
I have a 5yr old son with Autism he loves it.
gave this to my 8 yr old grandson in 3rd grade. he was so happy when he got it !! they r learning this stuff in this grade. so he was happy to hae his own map with states and capitals. made well. would recommend to any kid in 3rd grade to help make their studies easier !!
Was a bit dissatisfied that each state didn’t have an individual piece. Some are 2-3 states in one puzzle piece. I expected each state to show it’s shape & size in comparison to others.
Great learning tool
Great quality. My son asked for this for Christmas, he wanted to learn all the states.
I bought this for my grandsons ages 4, 5, 7 and 10. They all love it.
I was a little disappointed with this. I bought it to teach my 2 yr old granddaughter the states, but the pieces are pretty much cardboard, and I’m not sure they will hold up to repeated use. It’s probably ok for older children.
This was a return gift I bought for my kids birthday party. Excellent educational toys. My 4 years old knows all states, yet to learn their capitals though. Sturdy n colorful fun puzzle.
This puzzle is so very like the ones both my husband and I each had as kids. Now our granddaughter is going to receive one for her birthday ???? I looked all over and this puzzle is the most complete wooden United States puzzle on Amazon.
You pick up the pieces to see the state capitals. It's perfect for 5th graders.
Cool puzzle
My 4 and 3 year old like this. I fond it frustrating though that the little pieces dont stay in place. All the pieces are loose.
Great puzzle!
My young nephew loves this state puzzle.
Educational and imformative gift for a young person, as well as adults.
I bought this for a little boy who is so interested in learning about the United States. Very durable and makes the learning journey fun.
My daughter is having so much fun while learning geography as well as all the states and capitols.
Not what I expected. My fault, I should’ve read the description and looked at the pictures better. I thought it was made of wood but it’s made of cardboard layers glued together. It’s kind of hard for my 3 & 4 year old to place the pieces where they go because the pieces move. It doesn’t have a slot for the pieces to fit snug into so they move around on the board and it frustrates my girls.
I didn’t like this puzzle because it doesn’t have the pegs which makes it hard to put in and out.
My son's favorite. He loves this so much and has been playing more than 10x everyday. He's 2.5 yo and knows every state now. Best purchase!
Bought this puzzle for my 3 year old grandson. He loves it! He is now learning all the state capitals. It has become his favorite toy.
I bought this for my nieces. Great learning tool.
This is wonderful for my preschooler. Easy to assemble. Color and shape coded. Each state has a cute little picture about what the state is known for. Under each piece is the capital of the state.
Not sturdy like the look-alike wood puzzle.
Gift
Good learning tool
Love it.Good learning puzzle for toddlers
My three, almost four year old loves this. And he’s learning the states. It is a lot of small pieces to keep track of fyi.
My 5 year old loves it. Great for kids to learn.
Great learning tool. Bought this item a little too premature for my 2 1/2 yr great grandson. Doesn’t show interest yet. But he will!
My 2 1/2 year old loves this puzzle. The only downside was that the board you put states down on doesn’t have the states’ name, only capitals. So I hand wrote the states names onto the board with pen.
My 5 year old granddaughter was engaged by it. Fun way to learn about the states!
Bought this for my son to study the states for a test he has coming up — it’s so perfect to take the pieces off & I point to a state & ask him what it is, then had him the piece to put in place. He’s doing outstanding & we’ve only had this for a couple days!
Great for a three ye old.
Arrived in a timely manner and my grandson absolutely LOVED it!
Personal Experience: This was a lightning deal purchase that I made for my kids' Easter basket. Very robust design and my children figured out the colorful state shapes relatively quickly. The puzzle fits well when all the pieces are aligned, I previously had a puzzle that didn't align unless perfect and it irritated my children. Some of the puzzle piece faces are smudged because my kids spilled water on them so I took off a star for that but the parts still fit together. A suggestion I would make is that you get something to hold or contain the pieces with the board because there is nothing provided. Overall a good product with minimal cons.Recommend: YesPros: Good construction Pieces match the shape and color on the board Easy for kids to handleCons: Top color faded on the puzzle pieces after a few drops of water Does not come with a bin or cover to keep pieces in place, when being transported kids drop stuff and 50 puzzle pieces can easily get lost
Love it
Awesome but some of the eastern states are connected
Got this for my kindergarten granddaughter. She loves it. But to my surprise my 2 year old granddaughter can use it also because it is color coded. Great way to start learning about US history.
and fun, the kids love it. they can't read yet, but my 4 yo can complete puzzle and learns about the states as we tell her about them.
Nice learning puzzle. Kids love to play games as they learn.
Love this. Great way to explain states to children.
Great for teaching kids the states! This is a nice quality puzzle. Would be a good gift too.
Santa brought this puzzle for my puzzle loving 5 year old. She loves it and it is challenging for her, although she can’t read all the states yet. This puzzle will grow with her:) My son, who is in 4th grade, also used it to help memorize his states (locations) and state capitals (also depicted on the puzzle)My son aced all his tests on states this year, and the puzzle was a great study guide for him. I’m glad my daughter will be ahead of the curve.
fun
my son loves this puzzle!
As expected. My grandson loves it
This has taught out grandsons about the states. We do it several times a week pieces have pictures that have something about the state
Your kids will love putting the puzzle pieces together learning the states.
My daughter loves it
Very cute puzzle, I don’t mind it being made of layered cardboard, my kids know it’s a puzzle and it’s not intended to be chewed on or mistreated, so ours is still in perfect conditions. I like how colorful it is and the illustrations on each state, along with their respective capitals. The only thing that makes me give four stars is that it left Puerto Rico out ( I wonder if Hawaii and Alaska are included, why not Puerto Rico?) Overall it’s a recommended product, kids still learn a lot with it.
My son absolutely loves it, it is very sturdy and the perfect size for my two year old’s tiny hand. Only disappointment is that it doesn’t actually have all the states. Some are clamped up into one piece and some are just written on the board.
I purchased this puzzle for my 8 year old grandson. I was replacing a map puzzle that didn’t come with a board. I liked that it has a board to keep the puzzle together as your working on it.It’s one of his favorites and I like that it’s teaching him where States are located.
My daughter loves this puzzle! Her dad recently went to New Mexico on business & she was very interested in how far that was from us!
My grandson loves puzzles! This one has been so much fun for him. He is 2 and learning his states & capitals!
My 5 year old hasn’t destroyed it yet. Has fun.
This is great entertainment for my granddaughter and me. It’s a great learning tool and fun to play with.
Easy and great
Was a gift and little girl loves it.
It's a quality puzzle!
I had one similar when I was a kid and loved it. My 7 year old enjoys it. I’m trying to teach her to learn by where the states are and not the puzzle pieces themselves.
This is great! Not cheap material
My son loves this puzzle. Just wish some of the pieces were a little bigger
My son's new favorite!!
Smaller than expected
Kid loved it
Purchased to help my 10-year-old gain a grasp on the states and their capitals as well as location. Did its job....just like it did for me back in the '70s. lol....some things are just perfect the way they were originally created.
Love this map my 4yo is obsessed with learning his States. However it’s not made sturdy. Already have State peeling and only had it two weeks. Wish it was better made I don’t see this lasting long.
Purchased as a gift for a 6 yr old. He loves it.
Received quickly and it looks like a nice puzzle.
Amazing toy. The design is colorful. Like the idea of play and learn.
My 3 year old son loves it
Love this puzzle for my son very good quality puzzle
My daughter enjoyed learning the states and capitals with this puzzle.
Sturdy and durable pieces. Bold colors.
This is the BEST puzzle! I searched and searched for ages before deciding on this one. My five-year-old son wanted to learn about states and this has helped him know each state as well as it's location. My three-year-old is learning as well!
I like that the capitals are under the states. I wish abbreviations were also included.
Great Product!
A very well made and fun puzzle for all. My nephews enjoyed it so much that they wanted one to have at their home. I liked that is very colorful for my youngest nephew to solve and where the capital cities are underneath so he can memorize each state.
I like how each state shows the capitals underneath. The top corner of the puzzle was damaged but still usable. The pieces are a little on the thinner side so will have to see how well it lasts.
perfect gift for my daughter to learn her states
Good for younger children... age 9 or less.
My son loves this!
This really helped my 5th grader learn his states and capitals!
Perfect for learning
A great tool for my sons learning
Pretty cool. The colors help with figuring out where they go.
Bought as a gift for my great niece, age 3 - almost 4, and she loves it. I love it just to gaze at our states and those tiny NE states.
Nice, but it would have been better if there is a small bag to hold the small parts.
Great tool for practicing knowledge of State capitals, geographical location of states , and State names.
This puzzle is fantastic. It is simple enough my 3 year old can complete it, and my 6 year old is memorizing states and capitols and learning facts to associate with each state. He is making a list of all the places in the US he wants to visit based on the interesting images he sees on the puzzle pieces, like the water guyser in Wyoming. It’s is definitely invoking a desire to learn.
My 2 & 4 yr olds love this puzzle. It's educational and eye-catching. The only drawback is that the pieces only stay in place when the entire puzzle is put together so it's a bit difficult for little hands to manually keep the pieces in place until all the pieces are on the board. They slip around a lot.
I had a similar map as a kid and my kids fight over who gets to play with it. Great learning product
My daughter like it
I bought this for my 4 year old as a way to introduce the US and capitals. She can put this puzzle together on her own & likes being able to compare the states with our wall map.
My daughters really enjoyed this puzzle and learning the states!
Our two year old loves this puzzle. At 18 months old he could recite almost every state, it's color and something on the picture. Great size, sturdy build. We wish they had these for every continent. We'd buy them all and more for gifts!
My daughter is learning her states,This is a nice puzzle.
smaller pieces than expected but the grandkids love it
My 3 year old loves playing with this puzzle (with mommy’s help of course)
We live the puzzle. It has very small parts , so I wish it came in some type of a box.
Bright colors, easy for kids to do, but the cardboard gets easily damaged.
This is solidly made and a beautiful puzzle- perfect for my 4 year old boy who loves puzzles!
My 7 year old is obsessed with many things. Geography is one of them. He loves this! A pieve was missing and they immediately sent a new one without hassling me to return it
I wish Alaska was in a more northern region.
Great learning tool. Kids are excited. Going on road trip hope visual will more affect.
Good puzzle. Not exactly the thick wooden quality I was expecting but still a good learning puzzle.
Keep this safe or you could lose pieces easily. Some pieces are small and i already lost alaska ????
This puzzle is beautiful and my daugther loves it
Excellent learning tool. Would be nice if it was magnetic.
I bought this for my granddaughter who is in 4th grade. She loves learning the states by putting the puzzle together!
No issues, my 4 year old loves it.
Bought it for my nephews and they LOVE IT!! The adults and kids play together... It's great!
The pieces incorporate multiple states on some of them. I wish they were separate so my kids could learn each specific state.
Great puzzle!
Great educational toy. Since they don't teach much about the USA in schools anymore...start by teaching it at home. Very important for our countries future.
My 4 year old loves this puzzleGood quality, solid pieces, good key pictures to help learn what each state is known for.
Great for reviewing states and capitals, especially for kinesthetic learners!
I like this puzzle a lot. Got it for my almost 3 year old. She is getting the hang of it. It reminds me of the one I had when I was a kid. Good quality.
Good quality puzzle. Wish some of the states were not stuck together but i understand why. You would have aome tiny peices that would get lost easy. Nice pixtures and capitals on the back. Good educational puzzle.
Loved it. Lots of fun to do with kids
The puzzle is a wonderful learning tool for children! Very nicely made!
fun to learn
Got it for my 3 year old niece so she can see how far apart CO is from PA and she LOVES it! She puts the puzzle together almost daily.
Great puzzle! My 8 y/o daughter loves it and says it's fun.
Some of the pieces are so small, it easily peels apart & once it warps it doesn't fit as perfect as before.
looks great!
I love this puzzle & I think these are a great way to teach our kids where the states are & learn a little about each state in the process. Excellent learning tool for them & makes learning fun.
This is a great learning map of the USA as well as fun. It has the capitals under each piece which really helps to remember them. It's made of sturdy cardboard and the colors are very bright.
Perfect. Wish there is a container or bag provided to store those pieces.
Nice. Reminds me of the one I had as a child. Not sure how we're going to keep track of all the pieces (our little is 2), but we're having fun with it!
Great puzzle for kids to learn about the states. I would recommend this for ages 7 and up.
My 3 year old loves it. She matches the colors but knows most of the names of the states. The pictures of the states help her learn the names. Great building toy/game.
Such a great product!
this was exactly what my 3rd grader needed to pass her states tests
I wanted something to help my son visually understand where daddy travels for work. He love dumping it out and putting it back together. My son is 5 if that helps, my 3 year old doesn't even bother with it. I recommend it for children with good motor skills that I working on finer motor skills.
This item arrived in perfect condition. It arrived very fast after order was placed. The map will be fun and also a teaching tool for the person receiving it.
amazing learning tool
a must have
Great for my eight year old who had to learn all the states, their location and their capitals for school.
My 4 year old loves this puzzle! Even my 2.5 year old enjoys it. They play with it every day! No complaints!
state pieces can be easily damaged by kids under 4 years
great teaching puzzle for children
as advertised, satisfied buyer
I love the colors on the map and it shows and what every country represents. It gives the child a chance to learn. and feel you can't feel on a computer you can only see that's why so many children has bad eyes
Great map puzzle.
Love mapsLotdot tv
My Son loves it.
Granddaughter loves it.
This is good as far as the shapes of the states go, but it makes it look like the United States is an island by ignoring Canada and Mexico.
Perfect puzzle. My kids love it
My 4 year old knows all the states and their locations, thanks to this puzzle.
Bought 2 of these. 1 for my kid n other for gifting. Has been a hit with both kids. Pieces are not at all flimsy and are good sized. Would buy from this manufacturer again!
I wish the states underneath were not colored. This way it would be more challenging for the children to match states but also be easier to see which states haven't been filled yet. I do love that it has the state capitals listed underneath though. Since the pieces are the shape of each state they are not interlocking and will move around on the board if your children bump the puzzle they will move.
Was a gift!
Perfect for my granddaughter when she gets a little older!
I bought this puzzle to have some educational fun with my children. Not all states are single but some are grouped together (understandably, they are mostly the New England States). The pieces are colorful and well made.
This is my 3 year old's favorite puzzle! I was a little worried about the smaller states being bunched together on pieces, but my son has no problem identifying each state on the pieces. This puzzle is helping our whole family learn the capitols too!
This puzzle is perfect for 2-3 yr olds. The board itself shows the shape and color of each state so it is easy for the child to find where each piece goes. That being said, once my son had completed the puzzle several times I felt this made it too easy for him (around late 3 yrs of age). So I believe it is perfect for very young children, but not challenging enough after about 4 yrs old. I may soon look for a more advanced USA puzzle that does not have such obvious outlines on the board itself. What I LOVE about the puzzle:-the pieces are very sturdy cardboard; have had no issues with bending or coming apart.-pieces fit snug within the board, with just enough wiggle room to pull one piece out at a time if desired. What I wish was better:- the border lines around each state are quite thick, so the minute border details are not visible. The only states this really matters on though are some of the new England states. And like I said, I wouldn't recommend this puzzle for older than 4 yrs anyway, so those details really don't matter for children that young.
Nice learning map, shapes are a bit difficult for 3 1/2 year old to put together, but great for learning finger dexterity because of it.
Absolutely love this product. My daughter has memorized where her states are, as well as the state capitals.
Wonderful puzzle piece. My daughter knows all 50 states now!
My two kids love this puzzle. They learned all 50 states in about a week or so. I do wish the smaller states were somehow listed and in puzzle form. 8 states I had to teach them a little different Way. But over all love this puzzle.
great way to get your kids interested in learning
I bought this for my 4 & 5 year old's. They love it. I was looking for a puzzle that had the pieces in shapes of the actual states. When you raise the piece, it shows you the capital of that state. This has been a fun, yet educational toy.
Our three year old granddaughter loves this map. Well worth it.
It's cool but if any of the states get wet they fall apart.
It's actually a really nice puzzle but because it's made of cardboard it only took 5 minutes from opening for my one-year-old to put a piece in his mouth and destroy it... He had a cookie only a second earlier and the pieces are small! LOLSome of the other puzzles are made of wood. I understand given the irregularity of the shapes (part of the allure) that may not be possible to reproduce them in that medium, although I wish that weren't the case. But it certainly makes for a novel story!
My grand daughter, who is 3 years old, loves this. She says Nana let's study the states...keeps her busy for hours.
Very good quality with nice wooden tray. It is very colorful and capitols are shown.
My 2 year old daughter loves this puzzle. She can slowly put it together while naming each state. It's a fun activity. She has also learned and remembered all 50 states and capitals too. A few states are grouped and the argument that each state be a separate piece isnt practical.
My three year old Grandson loves this puzzle. He is even starting to recognize some of the states.
Bright color , attract me to remember.
This is good for my students and stands up to a lot of wear.
Nice puzzle. Well built and informative. My granddaughter solved it quickly.
Nice colors.
Love it! Quick ship! Thanks!
My 3 year old loves this. She's learned most of the states in less than a week. Nice that it has pictures on each one and the capitals on the board itself. She keeps telling me all the places she wants to go now and what she wants to see there.
This is the best smaller USA states puzzle I have found. Perfect size for regular use as a tool for learning the states and their locations, and I love that the board below is also finished and that the capitals are also shown on the board under each peice. My 4 year old was able to easily assemble it himself. Great buy! I do wish the whole thing were wood so that it would last a lifetime, but it is as I expected and a great product for the price!
GREAT LEARNING TOOL
Was looking for wood puzzle but this will do.
Very good size. My little one enjoys puzzles, and this is a really good first start in geography.
Great puzzle
My son loves this puzzle & it's a great learning tool!
Granddaughters birthday gift. Will find out in a couple weeks.
Great puzzle to help learn the states and capitols!
I bought this for my 10 yeast old daughter. The map really helped her learn her states
Such a great learning tool for kids! It's great for not only learning how to work puzzles but our grandson is having a lot of fun learning the different states. As he continues to learn, it's nice that the state capitols are listed behind the puzzle piece so he can learn that also. We have used it to show him where different relatives live and the pictures of items from the states are really good for helping him learn about the different states and he's only 4.
I ordered this to teach my three and five year olds about America and where we currently live. They have easily put it together and love to talk about it. I highly recommend!
I ordered for my kids, but then realized I needed to use it because my knowledge of the capitals is lacking
Made of wooden peices not cardboard so they won't bend at the corner of the state pieces and eventually get out of shape. Very educational. The board has the capital of the state's and the peices them selves have the name of the state.
easy to be used. highly recommend to kids.
my cousin enjoys taking this on roadtrips and learning about states they pass through
good quality and 3 year old loves playing with it.
I love it. Exactly what I was expecting.
I ordered this for my 4 year old granddaughter... it's a great puzzle and she has been very motivated to learn all the States.
I bought it for my 5 year old and 4 year old sons, but they do not like at all. Probably best for older kids.
grandson loves them he is 1 year old and its perfect
great for learning
Facinates my 4 yr old grand daughter
Great puzzle our child loves it! Item as described, arrived on time and packaged safely, thanx!!!
Highly recommended
My boys love this and its helping them learn the states for sure
My 5th grade daughter is using this to help her study for her class. They have been learning the states and capitols and it just hasn't been setting in for her. It is well made, the colors are vibrant. My only negative comment is that it is smaller than I had anticipated. Several smaller states are on one puzzle piece and I would have rather had a bigger puzzle and had every state be a piece. For the price though, it is good.
I remember having a USA map as a child, nice sturdy plastic pieces, but was unable to find the right one. I purchased this one for my grandchildren, so I'm hoping it holds up to lots of usage.
We own this one and the Mellisa and Doug Jumbo. I like both for different reasons. This one has more pieces that are jagged and look very much like the actual geography. However, the pieces are not chunky which will make it quite challenging for little hands. My son who is a preschooler first started out with the chunky Melissa and Doug version, and once mastered really enjoys this one because again, it is challenging. I like it because of the good representation of geography and also the colorful presentation. I highly recommend
the puzzle pieces are very light in weight so they pop put easily but otherwise a good product
Great learning tool for my six year old grand daughter.
Great puzzle! Perfect for kiddo learning.
????
Good for teaching states locations and capitals.
My grandson is 4 and loves puzzles. This is going to be a great Christmas gift.
Perfect learning puzzle for children.
GRANDSON LOVES IT!!
Good looking puzzle. Should engage the children.
Well made. My 5 year old grandchild loves this puzzle.
Since we moved to USA, I have looked some ways to help my four year old to learn about the local culture. This puzzle has been a very nice choice. The puzzle is well built with light wood, and has the name of all the states on the puzzle-pieces. Once you remove the pieces, you can see the names of the capitals under them. The puzzle is very easy since the pieces have distinctive colors, and the pattern on the board after removing the pieces has the same colors. So if a state is red, my son just needs to look at the red "shadows" to see which one has the same shape. I think this is good, since it allows younger kids to solve it. The pieces fit well, maybe a little too tight once you complete the puzzle, but my son has no problems with that.My only complain is that the lines to show the names of some states (New Hampshire, Massachusetss, Rhode Island) are not aligned with the pieces, but this is a small issue in an otherwise great puzzle. And my son loves placing the pieces of the states we have already visited!Additionally to the puzzle, we also got him this book: America's 50 States , with interesting facts about each state.
Gift!
cool
I like this puzzle for a number of teaching opportunities with capitals listed under each State piece. I also like the pieces are slightly raised above the wooden frame so it is easier to take the pieces out.
Kids ages, 3,4,7 and 9 LOVE LOVE LOVE this puzzle. We use it during dinner and all of my kids have memorized several states and capitals. I wish they had world puzzle like this.
Paper board not like long ago, wooden board but ok
Good quality product. I'm happy with it.
This is a great puzzle for preschoolers and above who are learning the geography of the U.S. and its states. We got it for my daughter, who has a fascination with the states and traveling, and it was a huge hit. It's definitely easy enough that preschoolers could work it, but it has other features, like the state capitals underneath each state, that really add to its use beyond that age group.
Great puzzle. High quality and pieces fit together well.
Fun for the kid!
My student LOVES, LOVES, LOVES this map and we've spent many hours working with it developing our own games. Just an invaluable tool and highly recommended.
My 4 yo grandson loves this puzzle and is now doing it by himself. I like all the info given about each state which makes it more than just a puzzle. Solid pieces, good quality, good value, good purchase.
I bought the puzzle for a girl I nanny for. I think it is a neat puzzle the only reason I didn't give it full stars is because on one of the puzzle pieces it was already a little torn on a corner. It really isn't that bad though.
my grand daughter love it!
Great puzzle. My daughter (2) learned all of her states and where they go easily with this puzzle
I like this a lot but the pieces are just a little small and easy to lose. Otherwise, very nice.
Well received as a gift by a child with autism.
My 4 yr old grandson loves puzzles and amazes me how easily he can put them together. This one challenges him and I'm thinking if we don't loose the pieces it will keep challenging him for a few yrs. Glad we bought it
Cool map of all the states
Nice puzzle. Lots of information posted on each state.
Strongly recommend
bought this for my nephew, he already knows it, so I guess it works! :)
My four year old loves this. I figured it would get old, but she'll play with it all day.
Product as described.
This was exactly what we were looking for. Good quality for the price, and the pictures act as a helpful mnemonic device for young children trying to learn not only the states, but also a bit of regional information in the bargain.
My 3 year old grandson really likes it!
My two year old loves this puzzle. Does it several times a day
Great educational tool!
Great, just as shown/described.
My youngest grandson loves puzzles, and this was a gift. I was once a teacher, and I know that wooden puzzles hold up, and can help in teaching fine motor skills. This particular one also teaches geography. I would highly recommend this puzzle. (There are parents who can learn from it as well. It is amazing the adults who don't know US geography. A woman came to my house one day, and as we were talking she asked where I was originally from. I told her Missouri, she asked me if it was by the ocean. I politely said no, but felt she could find this puzzle educational.????
Nice colorful puzzle. No complaints.
granddaughter loved it. 8 yrs old
Gdaughter enjoys it.
Perfect for my 5 year old.
My grandchildren, ages 5 and 7, love this puzzle.
Love it!
Want to start playing with my 2yr old so she learns where we are going when we travel & has a head start learning her states.
Bought this for my 3 year old so he could start learning the States & their Capitals. Within 2 days he was able to remember 2 states with their capitals. We are slowly working on adding more states. When we first opened this he took all the pieces out but was able to put them all back by himself. He thinks it's fun because it's a puzzle & there are a lot of fun pictures on the pieces which keep his interest. ????????????????
Second one that I've bought for my grandchildren. Great teaching tool......product was new and in perfect condition and timely delivery.
Great!
This puzzle is good. The only thing I wish it had was borders for each state. My 4 year old daughter likes he puzzle and it is helpful in learning the states and capitols.
My 3 year old is becoming more proficient and learning her states and capital. She's very tactile and this helps her retain the information more.
We bought this puzzle for our two year old to teach him where his extended family lives across the country and it immediately turned into one of his favorite toys! He does it at least twice a day and is starting to learn the names of the different states. Highly recommend!5/21/16 Edit: My son still likes to pull this map out and play with it. He has been pretty careful with the pieces and has fortunately not lost any yet. The pieces are made of thick cardboard which is pretty durable but can be bent, such as the panhandle of Oklahoma. The colors are very vibrant with (mostly) state-related images on the states themselves. There is the state name on each and also the state capital underneath on the board itself. As long as you pick up the puzzle after your child is done and make sure it is stored upright, then everything else is great! This still is a great puzzle!
just go this today and grandson loved it. I wish I had paid attention as each state is not separate, such as those small ones, rhode island, Massachusetts, etc. I may buy another puzzle soon. but still and all it is worth the price, colorful, has pictures that go with each state, and the capitol is marked. well-made.
Was a birthday gift for my daughter who turned 4. Very durable and loved the colors.
We got this for my 3 year old and he loves it. It's a little more challenging than the other puzzles he does because the pieces don't fit into specific spots and they don't click together but I think that's really good for his motor skills and he seems to love it I just tell him what the state is each time we put a piece in and he gets excited because I could show him where family lives on the map while he gets to do a puzzle. I wish it was wooden just because I think they last longer but it's still a very high-quality puzzle
My toddler loves this puzzle. I would say it is a pretty advanced puzzle for ages 4 and up. It is a great tool for any child learning the states.Update: the puzzle was good since Christmas, but the pictures on the pieces are easily torn off by a 4 year old.
Bought this for my 4 year old. My husband and I quiz each other more than my 4 year old plays with it. I love that it includes the capitol of every state.
Great way for kids to learn the state
Great for Grand Son
My nephews LOVES his puzzle!
My son LOVES this puzzle. He's 3 and now everywhere we go he points out states on maps and tells me what it is. It's pretty cool to see that.
Great construction, won't fall apart after using for a long period and our son loves it. This 3 year old know about 25% of the states because it is very instructive while being a good yet simple puzzle to make the pieces fit. Worth buying.
Kids love it!
I ordered this to help my daughter memorize the states and capitals. She used it for two days and can not only tell me the states and capitals but can put the puzzle together without the board. So she knows the shapes and can identify a state solely on that. It's a great product, bade of heavy cardboard type material. High quality finish, easy to read lettering. The only negative I can find is the use of the thick white outline, I think if they switched to a thinner black the smaller states like Delaware and Rhode Island, etc. could be more defined. There is a bit of something lost I think with the thicker lines.Other than that, it's a quality product, and was very beneficial for my home schooled daughter.
This is a great and fun way to learn the US.
4 year old has played with this nearly daily since he got it. Good sturdy pieces
My daughter loves this! We homeschool, so this is great to keep her hands busy while I'm reading to her.
Nice
Nice quality puzzle. My 3 year old grand daughter (and me, too!!!) are learning where the states are located and little bits about each state.. This is a nice puzzle. Good quality and colorful. I would definitely buy it again!!
My 9&7 year old love this puzzle! I remember having one similar to this and how it helped me learn my states for school. I was not let down in purchasing this puzzle. They are both learning their states, passing their US map test and enjoying the information. The colors are vibrant and the puzzle is well made. My experience is that it is perfect! The cluster of small states is expected and actually better then having Massachusetts and Delaware disappearing because of their size. The wood is strong and the pieces are polished, there is great craftmanship shown in this puzzle. The contain the state capital and either the state bird, landmark or something widely associated with that particular state. Some have multiple items pictured. It does not weight more them your average preschool puzzle. I think this product is great and would recommend it to any person who needs to study and pass a US State test.
GREAT QUALITY!
Gave this as a gift for a 5-year-old's birthday--it was a hit. Good quality and great for teaching US geography. Will buy again for my own kids.
I wouldn't say this puzzle is good for 3 yr olds. My son has been completing different puzzles ages 5+ since he was 2 yrs old. This puzzle seems more suitable for a 5 yr old though. The pieces don't fit well together until a lot of the puzzle is on the board. It's better as a team work puzzle.
I bought this for my four year old Grandson. He loves puzzles and especially loves putting together the USA!! He played with it all day on Christmas and has it down pat now!!!
My daughter loves this and it is definetly helping her learn the US geography.
Solid construction, and not too easy or hard. Good value.
Only complaint, I wish it had the little nubs so my kiddo can grip the pieces better. Otherwise, great.
our son loved it 5 stars
I was well pleased with the product and fast delivery. I would recommend them to others.
It's a Christmas gift for a four ur old
Came packaged great and looked exactly the same as the photos. My 5 year old nephew loves it!
Bought as a gift for my grandchild.
Nice puzzle. This is for my grandson for Christmas.
Great!
Originally I wasn't too happy about this product because it didn't have the capitals on the map. When I received the puzzle however I discovered that they are printed on the puzzle board. All the states have a white outline around them. Some of states make up one puzzle piece: Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont; New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachsetts; Pennsylvania and New Jersey; West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington, D.C.; and North Carolina and South Carolina. I really like this puzzle and highly recommend it.
My five year old loves this. It is so refreshing to find an educational toy that is not electronic.
Love this map puzzle for kids. Thought the pieces would be a little on the thicker side just cause kids can wear toys out fast. But I mean it works. My step son loves learning about states and what family lives where.
Our grandchildren are leaning their states the same way I did. Give me a chance to play with them.
Great game. I time the kids while they put it together.~Neva Squires-RodriguezAuthor of The Liliana Serieshttp://amzn.to/1eWs5mU
My grandson liked this a lot.
My 2 year old grandson loves it and has become proficient.
Very nice learning toy
Fun learning tool. Great purchase.
Very good, my 2 year old daughter just loves it, also she could name a few states.
My 3yr old grandson is nuts over this and could probably put it together blindfolded. Slight exaggeratoin, but man-o-man can he put it together and name each state as he's doing it!
My daughter's class has been learning the location of the US states, and this puzzle has been a great help to us. I like that the area under the puzzle pieces has the state outlines without their names, so that we can review without her reading the names. As a plus, she has already learned many of the state capitals as well! My only complaint is the placement of Hawaii and Alaska right next to each other. I realize many maps do this, but it can contribute to a misconception that Alaska and Hawaii are south of the US. Still a great product.
Quality puzzle for a great price.
I bought this USA puzzle for my 7 year old son for Easter. He loves it!!! Its a great learning product and its heavy duty.. Thank you for making this awesome puzzle! Great price as well..
I had a U.S. map puzzle as a kid and thought it would be great for my little girls. My 2 year old loves it! Its nice to see them learning a little geography before they start kindergarten.
Nice item.
I love that the capitals are under the puzzle piece...great way to quiz your kids on their states capitals.
Awesome puzzle, great detail and cute illustrations. As mentioned in other reviews, it is not one piece per state. But that was not a big deal to me, the purpose was to learn the names and capitals and the state locations. I rated 4 stars instead of 5 because I thought it was a wooden puzzle, but it is actually cardboard. Not flimsy cardboard, but still, the wood-grain "look" is a bit deceiving if you're not reading the description carefully.
Helps both my granddaughter and myself
my 3 yr old grandson is leaning his states. I especially like the outline of the states underneath the puzzle pieces as it gives him the incentive to work at this himself
Just as described. Grandchildren loved the map puzzle.
no problems
Tricky for young puzzlers as it's not an inset puzzle so unless you go from one side in order to the other the pieces bump out of place. I do love the fact that the states are separated which is better for learning than bunching them on bigger pieces.
The children really like the puzzle. They are learning the States & the colors. The puzzle is very colorful.
my kid love't thanks :)
Good item
Colorful and easy for little hands. The pieces aren't too tightly cut there is just enough wriggle room where my 3 and 4yr old can do it. Some of the other map puzzles are a tight fit and become frustrating.
